JCC: Historical Security Council of the United States of America
Joint crisis committee is offering an unusual MUN experience by its difference from other committees and its complexity. The process of raising placards and communicating with delegates from other countries are replaced with consistently arriving crises, more heated debates and taking action rapidly. Although the concept is very different JCC is an equally challenging committee as UN Security Council in MUN conferences. It consists of two interdependent subcommittees whose actions or decisions are instantly influencing each other and aim of both committees is being to eliminate enemy threat.
In SOBILMUN’17 cold winds will blow between seats as JCC: Historical Security Council of the United States of America will carry on heated debates on tense relations between USA & USSR during Cold War in a historical atmosphere. JCC: Historical Security Council of the United States of America will act as an internal security council of USA and delegates will be representing senators in congress. The committee will be open agenda however the delegates should always be ready for real life crises from when and where the cold war turns into hot conflicts or diplomatic tension between western and eastern worlds.
As a committee that runs through crises, JCC delegates are required to be prepared for rapidly changing topics and advanced debating skills.
